BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — Dr. Catalin Cirstoveanu runs a cardio section with state-of-the-art apparatus during a Bucharest childrens hospital. But not a singular child has been treated in a year-and-a-half given it opened.
The reason?
Medical staff he needs to move in to run a machine would have approaching bribes.
So Cirstoveanu has launched a waste electioneer to save babies who come to him for care: He flies them to western Europe on check flights so they can be treated by doctors who dont direct kickbacks.
