Georgia Woman With Flesh-Eating Disease Celebrates Small Victories

<p>Aimee Copeland, a Georgia tyro who lost her leg to a singular flesh-eating infection after a zip-line injury, knows shes propitious to be alive, according to her family.</p>

<p>
Although a 24-year-old stays in complete caring during an Augusta hospital, relying on a ventilator to breathe, shes smiling, shouting and mouthing, I adore you.</p>

And thats not something that happens each day.</p>

Medications designed to keep Copeland ease have blurred her memory of a May 1 zip-line accident nearby a Little Tallapoosa River that cut open her calf, mouth-watering a life-threatening infection that claimed her leg and threatens to take her fingers.</p>
