40 Million Americans Addicted to Cigarettes, Alcohol or Drugs

<p>THURSDAY, Jun 28 (<span>HealthDay News</span>) — About 40 million Americans
are dependant to cigarettes, ethanol or drugs, new investigate finds.</p>
<p>That represents about 16 percent of a U.S. race aged 12 and
older.</p>
<p>Another 80 million people — 32 percent of a race — are
“risky” piece users, tangible as regulating substances in a approach that
threatens health and safety.</p>
<p>Yet diagnosis is tough to come by, according to a study, that was
released this week by a <span>National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse</span>
at <span>Columbia University in New York City</span>. Only about one in 10 people who
need diagnosis for their <span>addiction</span> indeed gets it.</p>
