NH military chief, days from retirement, shot dead

<p><span>GREENLAND</span>, N.H. (AP) — <span>Michael Maloney</span> was usually a few days from retirement as arch of a parochial <span>New Hampshire military department</span>. But one final drug bust that would absolved a <span>neighborhood</span> of a threat left him dead.</p>
