Preteens More Likely to Report HPV Vaccine Side Effects

TUESDAY, Apr 3 (HealthDay News) — A new investigate finds thatpreteen girls are some-more expected than comparison teenagers and adult women to
experience side effects after receiving a human papillomavirus (HPV)
vaccine, Gardasil.

However, a side effects are not critical and are identical to those
associated with other vaccines.

U.S. researchers surveyed about 900 girls and young women, aged 11 to
26, within dual weeks after they perceived a Gardasil vaccine injection in
the top arm. The vaccine protects opposite HPV infection, that is
sexually transmitted and a means of cervical cancer.

Seventy-eight percent of a patients reported pain when receiving the
vaccine; 17 percent reported bruising or discoloration; 14 percent
reported flourishing during a injection site; 15 percent reported dizziness,
and 1 percent of a girls fainted.
