S.Africa’s Aspen buys $263 mln of drugs from GSK

<p>LONDON/JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – <span>Aspen Pharmacare</span> will compensate $263 million for GlaxoSmithKine Plc’s general over-the-counter brands, a dual companies pronounced on Friday, giving a <span>South African drug maker</span> a stronger participation in renouned painkillers.</p>
<p> The sale is a latest pierce by <span>GSK</span> to fine-tune a consumer medical business and follows a divestment of other over-the-counter (OTC) brands in <span>North America</span> and Europe.</p>
<p> Net money deduction from a transaction are approaching to be approximately 135 million pounds and will be returned to GSK shareholders during 2012.</p>
<p> Shares in <span>Aspen</span> sealed 5.9 percent aloft during 122.89 rand, a record tighten and a biggest daily commission benefit in scarcely 3 years.</p>
